Project - Agri-food
The teams in our MES department have set up a project to digitalise the various production flows.
A great particularity of the Lefebvre brewery is the multiplicity of products. If we develop about twenty recipes, there are more than 700 finished products! Indeed, each market has its own characteristics (type of bottle, label,…). The challenge of the MES project was multiple: – increase customer satisfaction by better responsiveness to orders received- improve productivity by better consistency of the production schedule – standardize production processes for the different teams – integrate already existing information systems
In terms of productivity, there is a better control of the schedules and supplies necessary for production. Quality control has been linked to the MES so that it can take place without interruption of production.
The know-how of the employees is accompanied to offer them more comfort in the tasks to be accomplished, for the making of the right decision at the right time. The recording of possible non-conformities allows a significant process of continuous improvement.
The implementation of the MES also allows better management of resources and a controlled impact on the environment. For example, the amount of hot water to be produced in the brewhouse is better calculated to avoid waste.
Better communication and agility make it possible to better meet customer demand and therefore increase their satisfaction.
