Customer Challenge

Its 5MVA connection was insufficient to allow for the development of the park and the installation of more than 60,000 photovoltaic panels, so a new 19MVA connection became necessary. The park also wanted to have a real time vision of its electrical consumption and monitoring of its installations.

Solution proposed by Technord

Technord and its partner Schneider implemented a comprehensive and innovative solution:

• Installation of a Medium Voltage substation directly connected from a GRD substation to supply the park and install the photovoltaic panels, integrating a Power Monitoring solution and an energy management solution,
• Installation of 25 Schneider Medium Voltage cells of the PIX type, 6 Schneider Medium Voltage cells of the SM6 type, TGBT and transformers,
• Integration of an Ecostruxure Power Monitoring Expert solution,
• Integration of an Ecostruxure Power SCADA Operation solution

Benefit to the customer

The improvements made to the park’s electrical installations now allow it to:

• Continue its development
• Secure its supply (increased levels of redundancy)
• Monitor the status of its facilities in real time
• Visualize its electricity consumption and production

Eventually, the solutions implemented by Technord and its partner will allow the customer to manage emergency scenarios in a predictive and curative manner without the need for on-site intervention.
