Energy management is in the news. Our Networks team recently visited one of the world's leading technology and digital transformation companies, which is working to build a sustainable energy future for all.
In order to meet the growing demand for Ethernet connections, our customer wanted to standardise and extend their fibre optic and copper RJ45 Ethernet installation.
The main challenge was to successfully cover the entire site with RJ45 structured cabling, while the number of consumers (RJ45 Ethernet sockets) and their exact locations were not yet known with certainty.
On the other hand, it was necessary to deploy this new network while keeping production running and not disturbing the site staff.
Our teams carried out the entire study and deployment of the passive F.O. and copper RJ45 network architecture.
This study, carried out in close collaboration with the client, was based on a global quantity of RJ45 connections distributed by sector: 600 connections spread over an area of approximately 6500m².
Some key figures for this project:
The technical solution proposed, combined with the use of RJ45 consolidation boxes, allows for modularity and flexible management of structured cabling.
We were able to deploy 600 RJ45 connection points throughout the factory, without knowing the exact location of the end users and without disturbing the production units that were still in operation, to the customer’s great satisfaction.
